Aarthi’s areas of expertise include corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances and licensing transactions. She regularly counsels venture-backed start-up companies, early growth companies through their entire life cycle with respect to set up issues, legal issues related to capital raise, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance issues and shareholder rights. She also works on equity-based compensation matters, executive employment, micro finance and media and entertainment issues.
Aarthi Sivanandh is an alumnus of Tulane Law School in the USA, B R Ambedkar Government Law College and Stella Maris College, Chennai. She is also currently a part of the governing council of The Indus Entrepreneur (TiE) at Chennai and has been with TiE, LA for 3 years and TiE, Chennai for 5 years. She is also an associate of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. Aarthi has been in practice for more than 10 years.
